Indian Vegetarian Cooking Book
Delicious! A great buy at just about any price
Indian Vegetarian Cooking by Sumana Ray is an easy wipe paperback covered
Indian recipe book of 128 pages - First published by Apple Press in July 2000
- ISBN-10: 1840922583 or ISBN-13: 978-1840922585 - Dimensions: 8.7 x 6.7 x 0.4
Vegetarian Cooking by Sumana Ray is a well presented all colour Indian vegetarian
recipe book, with easy step-by-step instructions and pictures to help novice
cooks. Another thing we like is the way the measurements are displayed in a number
of familiar ways; ie pints (imperial), litres (metric) and cups (familiar). Many
of the recipes are of dishes many Indian mothers cook, and we can't give a higher
recommendation than that! With the aid of this book, I hope you will be able
to cook them just as well. Certainly, all the recipes we have tried so far have
turned out to be delicious.
Indian Vegetarian Cooking by Sumana Ray is for those of us who want to cook
authentic, delicious and exotic vegetarian Indian meals, but have always been
disappointed with the results you've achieved with other books. Often the recipes
were overly complicated or time consuming. Sumana Ray's book is a breath of fresh
air. The recipes are easy to follow and taste fantastic. Don't get this book
if you want to taste the bog standard Indian restaurant fayre, this is about
authentic Indian home cookery and as such is much more interesting. Since using
this book we have been disappointed by Indian restaurant food.
This Indian Vegetarian Cooking Book will also guide you through
making basic ingredients such as onion mixture, panir and garam massala. We suggest
you allow a little time the first time you make the recipes and make sure you
have the stock of spices available most of which are now available from supermarkets
Indian Vegetarian Cooking by Sumana Ray is a really great book. The recipes
are easy to follow 'point by point', rather than paragraphs of information. There
aren't large list of ingredients as this is simple home-style Indian vegetarian
cooking. Even for Indians new to cooking Indian food, this book is a really good
starter book. The dishes are traditional and delicious, and we believe it could
be the best Indian Vegetarian cook book you will ever buy.
